OverviewJoin a top-tier consulting firm's Global Banking practice as a Product Owner , leading the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions for major financial institutions. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely with a preference for candidates located in the New York City area. As a Manager-level contributor, you will play a crucial role in driving agile product delivery within complex regulatory and enterprise banking environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Product Ownership
Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with client objectives and industry trends.
Create and manage product roadmaps that balance short-term delivery with long-term value creation.
Backlog Management
Maintain and refine a prioritized backlog of user stories, epics, and features.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
Ensure all user stories are well-defined and meet quality standards.
Agile Leadership
Lead grooming sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives in collaboration with Scrum Masters and development teams.
Act as the decision-maker during sprint execution, removing impediments and clarifying requirements.
Guide teams toward successful sprint delivery and value realization.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary liaison for product-related queries and updates.
Present feature demos, product updates, and gather feedback from cross-functional teams and clients.
Foster transparent and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Quality & Delivery Assurance
Define and review acceptance criteria, validating completed work for accuracy and quality.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Monitor product performance and support post-release evaluations.
Release Management
Plan and oversee release schedules, ensuring timely deployment of new features.
Track adoption metrics and iterate on the product based on real-world usage and insights.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a Product Owner or technical project management role within the financial services industry .
Proven success leading agile teams and working in fast-paced, milestone-driven environments.
Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and other project management platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
Deep understanding of banking operations, regulations, and enterprise system implementation.
CSPO or equivalent agile certification is a plus.
Engage in high-impact banking transformation projects.
Collaborate with a skilled and diverse team.
