Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and organized Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our recycling facility. This role involves managing a team of warehouse staff, coordinating the flow of materials, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining efficient recycling processes. The ideal candidate has prior experience in warehouse or recycling environments and is passionate about sustainability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including unloading, sorting, dismantling, and storing mattresses and related materials.

• Monitor employee performance, assign tasks, and ensure proper training on equipment, safety, and procedures.

• Enforce compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety protocols.

• Ensure all recycling processes are followed correctly and materials are sorted for maximum recovery.

• Maintain accurate inventory records, daily logs, and shipping/receiving documentation.

• Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

• Communicate effectively with the operations manager to report issues, needs, and progress.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.

• Identify and recommend improvements to processes for greater safety, productivity, and material recovery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with recycling practices or environmental services preferred.

• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.

• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily warehouse-based with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.

• Full-time schedule with occasional overtime or weekend shifts based on operational needs.
