Job Description

Our client, a large digital payments company in Austin, TX, is looking for a Sr. SEO Manager for a long-term hybrid contract. This role will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global SEO strategy, working in close partnership with a cross-functional, international team. This role is responsible for driving high-impact SEO initiatives that increase relevant organic traffic, elevate user engagement across global web properties, and generate qualified leads. The ideal candidate has deep technical SEO expertise, a strong understanding of AI’s evolving role in search, and the ability to effectively translate complex strategies into actionable plans. Collaborating with the Global Web Strategy team, this role will also work closely with internal content creators and marketing stakeholders to shape SEO-optimized content and continuously improve site performance through ongoing audits, analysis, and optimization. Prior experience navigating large, complex organizations—ideally in finance or banking—is highly valued.

• This is a hybrid ongoing contract position and requires 3-days/week in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the global SEO strategy across multiple regions and web properties, ensuring alignment with broader business and marketing objectives
• Plan and execute SEO initiatives aimed at increasing relevant organic traffic, improving user engagement, and generating leads
• Conduct regular, in-depth technical SEO audits and implement recommendations to improve site health and search visibility
• Stay ahead of SEO trends, including the evolving role of AI in search, and integrate emerging best practices into SEO strategies
• Partner with global content teams to guide the creation of SEO-driven content and support on-page optimization efforts
• Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and enterprise SEO platforms
• Collaborate closely with the Global Web Strategy team and other stakeholders to ensure SEO is embedded into all aspects of digital planning
• Provide SEO recommendations for site structure, page templates, metadata, internal linking, and other key technical elements
• Identify and pursue backlink opportunities in coordination with broader digital PR or outreach efforts

Required Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of SEO experience, including technical SEO, within a large, complex organization
• Proven success driving SEO strategy and implementation at a global scale
• Strong understanding of AI’s impact on search behavior and ability to apply AI-informed strategies
• Expertise with SEO tools and platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, BrightEdge, or similar
• Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and tag management systems
• Experience working with content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or WordPress)
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Demonstrated collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across content, marketing, product, and development teams
• Experience in finance or banking a huge plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clarity and influence across global stakeholders
