Location : We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef I for T-Mobile Park , home of the Seattle Mariners!

Unit Description:

Since the Inaugural Game on July 15, 1999, T-Mobile Park has gained a reputation locally, regionally and nationally as a terrific setting for baseball and a great place for baseball fans. Sweeping views of Seattle's downtown skyline, breathtaking sunsets over Puget Sound, combined with excellent views of game action from all angles give fans at T-Mobile Park an experience unequalled in Major League Baseball.

Job Overview :

The Sous Chef I will join the culinary team at T-Mobile Park with a primary focus on overseeing catering operations. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, preparation, and execution of all catered events. The Sous Chef I will assist in supervising union culinary staff, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. They will lead the catering culinary team in maintaining consistency and excellence in a high-volume, fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.

Essential Re sponsibilities :

  • Assist the Executive Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations and execution of game day and non-game day food service.
  • Supervise and train line cooks, prep staff, and utility workers.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to specifications, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards (HACCP, ServSafe, etc.).
  • Monitor food and labor costs to align with budgetary goals.
  • Oversee kitchen cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Provide input on menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings.
  • Uphold and embody the Mariners' commitment to guest experience and service excellence.

Qualifications/Skills :

  • 3+ years of culinary management experience in a high-volume catering operation.
  • Union experience required.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and production in high-volume environments.
  • Ability to lead and mentor staff with professionalism and accountability.
  • Experience in sports/entertainment or premium hospitality is a plus.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days.

Other Requirements :

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
