Hours: 36/48 Alternating Schedule (Bi-weekly)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a critical access hospital setting. The RN will work night shifts and deliver comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers infants and postpartum patients.
Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery postpartum and newborn care.
Monitor fetal heart rates maternal vital signs and labor progression.
Assist with labor support deliveries and emergency interventions.
Administer medications IVs and follow all L&D clinical protocols.
Collaborate with physicians midwives and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility standards.
Support patient education regarding labor postpartum care and newborn health.
Respond to obstetric emergencies as needed (e.g. PPH preeclampsia).
Active RN license (TX or compact state).
Minimum 12 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (preferred).
BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred depending on facility policy.
Ability to work independently in a critical access setting.
Strong assessment communication and emergency response skills.
