Description Government agency has an immediate opening for a Legal Secretary! This Legal Secretary will support the legal team, specifically litigation attorneys through all phases of the litigation lifecycle. As a Legal Secretary with this organization, you'll create litigation document shells, prepare court filings, e-filing, and calendar court dates. This is a hybrid position that requires full-time on-site work in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5+ years of civil litigation experience. Responsibilities: - Assist with various State court cases, including personal injury, civil rights, and business litigation. - Contribute to the creation and formatting of legal documents. - Handle e-filing of court documents and manage legal calendaring. - Utilize ProLaw for calendaring and Adobe Acrobat for document management. - Collaborate with team members to manage overflow work. - Understand and process motions and answers in civil litigation cases. - Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance. - Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Requirements Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the legal field - Must have experience with civil litigation - Familiarity with ProLaw for calendaring is a plus - Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Demonstrated professionalism and confidentiality - Familiarity with legal terminology and principles Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
